I think desperaux best encountrer is Roscuro because they met in the dungeon and outside the dungeon and they turned into ENEMIES and they fought at the end
I think the most character that impacted Desperaux was Roscuro. I say this because they mostly saw each other the whole book. They saw each other at the ending of book the first and they saw each other the whole time in book the second and half of book the third and book the fourth at the end.

I agree with you Jose,I think that Roscuro is the most impacted with Despereaux because they met in the dungeon and Despereaux saves him and they been though a lot together. They are frenemies.
I think that the character that was most impacted was the pea.I think that the pea was most impacted because she hated the rat Roscuro for killing her mother but at the end instead of letting Despereaux kill Roscuro she let him live
